Organic Metrology Group establishes measurement standards and develops Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) for the components of organic compounds related to food, environment, clinical trials, and product regulations.
In order to develop CRMs traceable to the international system of units, we conduct research on the purity analysis of high-purity organic compounds and ensure international equivalence through participation in international comparisons. By disseminating CRMs and providing reference values for samples and evaluations, we contribute to enhancing the measurement reliability of testing institutions. Additionally, we are developing ultra-trace and multi-component measurement technologies to respond to regulations for new organic compounds.

• 1 Establishment of measurement standards and development of CRMs in response to regulations on food, environment, products, and clinical chemistry
• 2 Establishment of measurement standards and development of CRMs for food nutrients and pharmaceutical active ingredients
• 3 Development of highest-order measurement method for simultaneous analysis of multi-components of residual pesticides and residual antibiotics
• 4 Advancement of purity analysis methods for organic compounds to ensure traceability to SI base units

• Development of food CRMs for pesticide, animal pharmaceuticals, and mycotoxin analysis and their dissemination to testing institutions
• Development of plastic CRMs for phthalates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons analysis, as well as supply of samples for international standardization
• Development of plasma/dried blood spot CRMs for biomarker testings
• Establishment of measurement standards for nutritional components in powdered milk, grain, and vegetables, as well as development and distribution of their CRMs
