Dr. Abdu Abagibe Adem, the director general of National Metrology Institute of Ethiopia (NMIE) of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the representatives of NMIE visited KRISS on March 26, 2018 for the signing “Twinning Arrangement” and meeting with KRISS management discussing about the future cooperation between KRISS and NMIE.

 

Through the ‘KRISS-NMIE twinning arrangement’, KRISS and NMIE will conduct joint research and development activities such as training, and consulting, and acquisition of technical equipment in the areas of temperature/force/dimensional measurement standards.

 

Since the MoU between KRISS and NMIE in 2014, both institutes have been collaborating in the field of metrology which including on-site technical consultation as well as higher degree courses (KRISS-UST program) for NMIE staff.
