Lee has not only established national measurement standards in fluid flow, but also contributed to international activities in the Asia-Pacific region. In particular, he developed a system for micro flow rate and viscosity measurements, and enhanced the reliability of measurement standards through international comparisons. He recently published a paper on non-contact flow sensors for medical and semiconductor processes, and has actively fostered talent in measurement standards under various collaboration programs.

APMP is an international non-governmental organization established in 1977 for the development of metrological capability in the Asia-Pacific region. Every year, experts in related fields gather to discuss regional issues and measures for research cooperation.

Launched in 2006, the APMP Young Metrologist Prize is awarded to young scientists aged 40 or below who have outstanding research achievements in metrology and contributed to the development of APMP.
