About Group

The Ultracold Atom Quantum Research Team is developing a quantum simulator based on a state-of-the-art ultracold atom quantum platform. The team conducts research to provide solutions to classic hard problems in quantum physics, such as the Hubbard model and the Kondo model, with the goal of achieving a quantum advantage. It is the team's goal to contribute to establishing a domestic quantum information research ecosystem through research excellence.

Current R&D Projects

  • 1 Development of single-atom qubit control technology and large-scale qubit generation technology
  • 2 Assessment of stability and reliability of quantum simulators
  • 3 Solving many-body quantum problems using the quantum simulator

Recent R&D Highlights

  • Realization and study of two dimensional quantum gas system
  • Design and development of optically compensated zoom lens system for transporting atoms over large distance(>60 cm). Achieved high transport efficiency (~90 %)
