About Group

The Organic Metrology Group establishes higher-order method and develops certified reference materials regarding organic substances in the fields of food, environment, and product regulations. The group researches purity assessment methods for high-purity organic compounds to develop the certified reference materials that are traceable to the International System of Units. Furthermore, the group actively engages in international comparisons with other national metrology institutes to ensure international equivalence. The group contributes to improving the reliability of testing laboratories by disseminating certified reference materials, supplying samples and reference values for proficiency testing. Additionally, the group is developing measurement technologies for the simultaneous analysis of trace components to cope with new regulations.
